Robert “Joe” Joseph Sypolt, 61 of Masontown, died Thursday, February 10, 2022 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born February 4, 1961, son of the late James “Jim” Thomas and Marjorie “Patty” Calhoun Sypolt. Joe attended West Preston High School. He worked maintenance for Metro Property Management in Morgantown. The last ten years he had been helping take care of his father before he passed. He enjoyed talking on the CB and his handle was “Wolfie”, working on cars, watching the deer and singing karaoke. Joe is survived by two daughters, Samantha Jo Sypolt, Pittsburgh, PA, Karrie Lynn Sypolt, Reedsville; three brothers, James M. Sypolt of Kingwood, Jeffrey T. Sypolt and wife Joyce of Morgantown, Kevin L. Sypolt and companion Suzy Keener of Kingwood; three sisters, Sheila M. Larew and husband Klet of Newburg, Joyce Marshall and husband Jeff of Morgantown and Donna J. Hawk, Winter Haven, Fl; half-brother, Don Calhoun of Morgantown; one sister-in-law, Gloria Sypolt, Reedsville; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald “Jerry” Sypolt, Sr., John Howard Sypolt, and Larry Dale Sypolt; one nephew, Mark Wayne Smith, and sister-in-law, Rebecca Joyce Sypolt. Per his request, he was cremated.
