Robert D. Jensen, of Milford, Iowa passed away on August 15, 2016, at the Spencer Hospital at the age of 88.

Robert “Bob” was born on January 7, 1928, to Axel and Minnie (Beyer) Jensen in Ida County. His childhood was spent in Holstein where he attended elementary and high school. Following high school, Bob enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska. After his discharge, he met and married Monica R. Fuller of rural Cherokee County. They lived briefly in Cherokee and then settled in Storm Lake. Bob worked for Chesterman Bottling Company of Sioux City in Storm Lake and Aurelia for over 43 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends at their cottage at Okoboji. He especially enjoyed spending time with his only grandson, Lowen. Bob was a skilled carpenter and in 1990, Bob built their retirement home on Lake Minnewashta where they spent 10 happy, busy years until moving to a new home in Milford in 2001. Bob still resided there at the time of his death. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by daughters, Susanne Bicknese of Spencer and Pam Gude of Milford; a grandson, Lowen Gude of Sioux Falls, SD; a sister, Donna Godbersen of Cherokee; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
