Lakeland – Robert James “Bob” Whitehouse, 69, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014, as a result of heart failure.
Mr. Whitehouse was born September 12, 1945 in Corpus Christi, TX. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Navy where he served aboard the USS Cutlas during the Vietnam War. He was a 1963 graduate of Haverhill Trade School in Haverhill, MA. Mr. Whitehouse and his family moved to Lakeland in 1976. He retired from the City of Lakeland, where he worked in the Department of Electric and Water Utilities for over 26 years.
Mr. Whitehouse was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Pauline DeBlois Whitehouse and sisters, Jane Nicci and Shirley LeRoy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Maureen McDonough Villeneuve Whitehouse; son, Robert Whitehouse Jr. and his wife, Shawne; daughter, Kerri Whitehouse; step-son, Mark Villeneuve and his wife, Trena; step-daughter, Michelle Kohn; brother Richard Whitehouse, Jr. and his wife, Gail; sister, Patricia Malone; grandchildren, Brennan, Riley, Sebastian, Gavin, Austin and Dustin; and many other loving family members and devoted friends.
