Robert James Masters, 81, of Flemingsburg, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Care Center at Kenton Pointe in Maysville, Ky.
Born in Rowan County, Ky on January 12, 1941, he was the son of the late Early Masters and Beulah Thompson Masters.
Robert was a life-long farmer and had retired from the city of Flemingsburg at the water plant. He loved his family dearly and had a passion for gardening. He was known as “The Pumpkin Man” by many. He also loved hunting and fishing in his spare time. Robert also attended the Flemingsburg Christian Church for many years.
Robert is survived by his wife of 34 years, Martha Kelley Masters; his three children, Eugene (Anita) Masters, Doug (Connie) Masters, and Kelley Gray; his five grandchildren, Jessica (Paul) Figgins, Leah (Robert) Ford, Lauren “KK” (Jonathon) Johnson, Abby Gray, and Maggie (Frank) Howard; and his six great-grandchildren, Kaylee Johnson, Makenzie Johnson, Peyton Johnson, Elodie Ford, Lucy Howard, and Henry Figgins. Robert is also survived by his brother, Mervin “Perky” Masters.
In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Chris Cropper.
