Robert James (R.J.) Daniel Benson October 27, 1983 – July 28, 2012 Robert James Daniel Benson, 28, was born October 27, 1983 in Loma Linda, CA, to Scott and Linda (Cartwright) Benson. He passed away July 28, 2012 in Sacramento, CA. He moved to Canon City in 2000 and graduated from Canon City High School in 2001. He joined the United States Navy where he served on the USS Ronald Reagan. He later joined the United States Air Force, where he was a Staff Sergeant and a member of the California National Guard Counterdrug Task Force. He is survived by his son; Landon Robert Benson of Colorado Springs, CO; his parents; Scott and Linda of Canon City, CO; sister Lisa Bosecker of Sterling, CO; brother Shawn Benson of Nuevo, CA; nieces and nephews Jayden, Jennica, Aurora, Jaxtin, Arabella and Jazlynn. He will be greatly missed by his entire family and many friends.
