LUDLOW – Robert Panehal, 91, passed away July 11th at Baystate Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in Lakewood, OH to the late Sophia (Kakacka), Robert eventually moved to the local area where he worked for Wyeth Pharmaceutical as a District Manager for 39 years before retiring. He was also a veteran of WWII, having fought in, among other battles, at the Battle of the Bulge. He was predeceased by: his first wife Francine Panehal and his two brothers Paul and Anthony Panehal. He leaves behind: his loving wife Kathleen (Akey); his son Robert Panehal Jr and his wife JoAnn of HI; his daughters, Kathleen Rahal and her husband George of Sarasota, FL, Elise Panehal of Cleveland, OH, Alexandria Panehal of Santo Domingo, DR, and Georgiana Panehal of Rockville, MD; 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
