Robert J. Martin of Burlington passed away at Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro at the age of 81. He was born in Burlington and graduated from Wilbur Watt High School. In high school Robert was known as “Boathouse Martin” while playing football and competing in track & field. He also competed in the Junior Olympics in track & field. Bob worked for Bell Telephone and retired from Lucent Industries after many, many years of service.
Bob was an easy person to get along with, someone you could easily become friends with. He enjoyed traveling, especially his annual vacation to Puerto Vallarta and his numerous trips to Mexico. Bob was huge football fan and cheered on many Packer’s and Notre Dame games.
Husband of the late Nadine, he is survived by his daughter Johnna Raymond; grandchildren: Iysha, Kevin,; sister Theresa Cramer; brother John Martin; niece Dianna Moore (Earle), great nephew: Bill McGee, Jr. and many nieces, nephews and friends.
