Robert J. Lasley, 85, of Jacksonville, IL died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at Aperion Care.
He was born Feb. 3, 1936, in Keokuk, IA, the son of Robert and Ruby Irene Billington Lasley. He married Pam Fortado and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by his “chosen family”, Melissa and Tedd Lowe of Jacksonville; their children, Tedd (Katie) Lowe Jr. of St. Peter’s, MO, Chantel Lowe of Reardon, WA, Audrey Lowe of Jacksonville, Jabril Wali-Uddin of St. Louis, MO, Salim (Bailee) Wali-Uddin of Jacksonville, and Miriam Wali-Uddin of Jacksonville; and their grandchildren, Connor, James, Gauge, Gabe, Brittany, and Blakeley.
Mr. Lasley was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He had many jobs throughout his life and retired from Central Laborers’ Union. Bob didn’t know a stranger.
