Robert J. Kwatick, 88, formerly of Ottawa, died on Friday evening, March 8, 2019 at his home in South Elgin. Robert was born on March 11, 1930 in Peru, to Robert J. and Ethel (Swanson) Kwatick. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Korea from 1951 to 1953. Robert married Gisele M. Monette on May 8, 1952 in Santa Maria, CA. He retired from S.C. Johnson Wax in 1985.

Robert was a member of St. Columba Church in Ottawa, St. Thomas More in Elgin, IL, AARP, Knights of Columbus, American Legion, VFW Post 2470 in Ottawa, VFW Post 1307 in Elgin, IL, and Korean Veterans Recovery Inc. Support Group. He is survived by his daughter Paulette (Richard) Walsh, of South Elgin, 3 grandchildren, Richard Jr., Meghan, and Cara Walsh, and 2 brothers, Ronald V. (Susan) Kwatick, of Lake St. Louis, MO and Jack H. (Elizabeth) Miller, of Tiskilwa, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gisele, on February 24, 2005.
