Robert J. “Bob” Marr, age 68 of Sanford, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. The son of the late George E. and Marie V. (Black) Marr was born in Saginaw on March 20, 1945. Bob went on to Ferris State University Pharmacy School graduating in 1967.
He was employed with Sparrow Hospital in Lansing as a Pharmacist until retiring in 2003. Bob has also worked for many other pharmacies in the area after his retirement. He enjoyed being on the water boating and fishing, reading, and attending his grandkid’s sporting events. Bob was a member of Our Lady of Grace (St. Agnes Catholic Church) Sanford, the Knights of Columbus Council 8043, was an avid MSU fan, and coached youth hockey.
Surviving his wife of 43 years the former Sharon A. “Sherry” Foley of whom he married on October 10, 1970, in St. Helens Catholic Church in Saginaw; son Bret (Jenna) Marr of Okemos, Michigan; daughter, Jenny Marr of Hiawatha, Kansas; grandchildren, Owen, Alaina & Bennett; brothers, Mike (LuAnn) Marr of Bridgeport, Tim (Linda) Marr of Saginaw, Tom (Susan) Marr of Longmont, Colorado; many nieces and nephews.
