Robert J. “Bob” Bonanno of Burlington, died Monday, January 9th at his residence with his family by his side, he was 80 years of age. Born in Mt. Holly, NJ on June 20, 1931, he was the son of the late Joseph and Estelle Bonanno. A long time Burlington resident, Bob served his country honorably in the United States Army.
An electrician by profession, he had been employed at one time with the Hercules Company in Burlington township. For the past 40 years Bob was a self employed electrical contractor. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents Bob was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy.
He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peggy” (nee Wargo) Bonanno, his children and their spouses: Robin Levondosky of Lansing, Mich., Richard (Louisa) Bonanno of Edgewater Park, Nancy E. Bonanno of Burlington and Barbara (Larry) Shea also of Burlington. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Richard and his wife Diane, Monica, Bradley, Michael, Kristine, Cassandra and Lauren as well as his two great-grandchildren; Lexi and Maci and his beloved dog, Bella.
Also surviving are his Aunt Marie and Uncle Anthony, Carmela and several additional cousins.
