Malta – Robert I. Moore, 77, died Tuesday, April 03, 2018, at Albany Medical Center Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

Born on a warm Christmas day, in 1940 at the Leonard Hospital in Troy. He was son of the late H. Irving Moore and Elaine Fowler Moore and husband for 55years of Karen Geddis Moore. Bob lived on Vosburgh Road in Averill Park for 48 years and North Port, FL for 8 years and has resided in Malta for the past 6 months. 

Bob graduated from Haskell Elementary School, Knickerbacker Middle School and Lansingburgh High School in 1959. After high school, he earned his associates degree from Hudson Valley Community College in 1961. During college he was a member of the fraternity K.E.K and Bob still remains friends with many of his fraternity brothers.  

Bob retired in 1996 from the Water Treatment Plant, City of Troy as a Supervisor after 25 years of service.

He was a member of  the Waterford Emergency Team and the F. B. Peck Hose Company in Northside Waterford where he was vice president and member of the competition team. Bob was also a member of the Rensselaer County Historical Society and was an avid collector of Troy memorabilia. 

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife, Karen, include his daughters, Colleen Denise Moore, Averill Park and  Cynthia (Shane) Holcomb, Brunswick; his grandchildren, Evealise Boughton, Rochester, and  Alexander Holcomb, Brunswick; his brother,  Eric (Donna) Moore, Valley Falls; and his nieces and nephew,  Aimee, Rebecca, and Joseph Moore. He was predeceased by his son, Sean Aaron Moore.
