Robert died March 15, 2010, at Lea Regional Medical Center. He was born April 1, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa.
Robert was a graduate of Texas Tech University. His greatest joy in life was helping others. He was a member of Hobbs Masonic Lodge 63 and Eunice Lodge 67 A F and A M member of and current High Priest of Agape Chapter 22 R.A.M. here in Hobbs member of Valley Council 4 and also Rio Hondo Commandery 6 both in Clovis, New Mexico. Robert was a member of Ballut Abyad Shrine Center, Albuquerque, New Mexico member and past president of Lea County Shrine Club, Hobbs past member of Board of Directors of Intermountain Childrens Hospital, Salt Lake City, UT. He was also a member of Bethany Chapter 56 Order of Eastern Star, Hobbs.
Whittemore is survived by a brother Don Whittemore and wife, Cecilia of Warren, Arkansas a sister Becky Edwards of Allen, Texas 6 nephews one niece and a great niece and nephew.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Joe David Whittemore.
