Robert Harry Parker, age 102, died October 21, 2019 at the Legacy Lodge in Chariton Iowa.
Bob, as he was known by all, was born near Russell and lived all his life in Russell except for the time spent in the army in World War II.
Bob served the Russell community as the local bank manager for several years and then as a rural letter carrier for thirty years.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene, his high school sweetheart, married in 1940, they had one child, Edward Douglas Parker who died in 1966 at the age of 24, parents Guy and Zella Parker, one sister Eileen Wright, one infant brother Guy Jr. Robert is survived by his nieces, Sherry Hass, Dawn Beaty, Carol Coulson, Jana Cooper, and nephew Richard Pierce.
