Robert Harrison ”Red” Lane, 75, 3325 Canaday Drive, Anderson, took his place in Heaven. He passed away July 13, 2003 at Community Hospital. Red was born March 30, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana, to the proud parents of Walter Sr. and Lucille Lane. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Dorothy Ann Allman Lane. His daughter, Rhonda husband Tony Cantrell. His son, Robert F. wife Christine Lane. His beloved grandchildren: Tiffany, Tia and Tabitha Cantrell, Robert Michael Lane, Heather, David and Matthew Hubble. His Great Grandson, Darian Michael Lane. Also three special friends survive, Nathanial Ball, Kelly Gossett and Teresa Parke. He is also survived by his brothers, Walter wife Frances Lane Jr., Warner wife Norma Lane, Ernest wife Sue Lane, and sisters, Diann husband Arlo Allen, Virginia husband Gene Williams. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Preceeding in his death are a brother, Rex Lane; sister, Cecelia husband James Turner, Frances Lane, Leah husband Harry Reeder and grandson, Jacob Daniel Lane. Red retired from Anderson City Pollution Plant and also served his country in the Korean War. When you think of our Dad, don’t recall the suffering that he endured here on earth, instead look to the sky and there you may catch a glimpse of him smiling, holding a twelve inch golden bass, or the prize mushroom he just found.
