Robert H. DeLater, 85, of South Bend, Indiana passed away at 1:47 p.m., Sunday, March 16, 2014 at The Hearth at Juday Creek. Robert was born on July 20, 1928 in South Bend to Henry and Jenny (Wlodarski) DeLater and was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1990 from RACO where he was employed for 35 years. On November 11, 1966 he married Eleanor Cichowicz, who preceded him in death on September 29, 2009. He is survived by two daughters, Patricia (Mike) Bittles of Omaha, Nebraska and Christine (Peter) McCollum of South Bend, Indiana; two grandchildren, Heather McAbee and Alexander Bittles; one sister, Sharon DeLater of South Bend, Indiana; two brothers, Richard DeLater of California and Ronald DeLater of South Bend Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.
