Robert Glenn Cherrington, Sr., 81, of Galesburg, died on Friday, July 29, 2016, 11:50 AM at Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg. Robert was born on January 8, 1935, Galesburg. He was the son of Gordon and Alfreda (Underwood) Cherrington.
He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Cochran on September 12, 1953 in Kahoka, Missouri. Robert is survived by his son, Robert (Virginia) Cherrington, Jr. of Wataga; a daughter, Robin (Wayne) Bradshaw of Ocala, FL; two sisters, Jo Ann Saddler and Sandy Marseleck of Tx; and three grandsons, Mike and Matthew Cherrington, and Jacob Bradshaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife, Mary Ann; infant daughter Donna Jean; and a brother, Jim Cherrington. Robert was a graduate of Galesburg High School. He owned and operated his own semi truck, and drove across the country. He loved to spend time with his family. Robert’s absence will be felt by those who were closest to him.
