Robert G. “Bob” Viereck, Sr., formerly of Burlington passed away in Samaritan Hospice Inpatient, Mt. Holly on Saturday at the age of 71. Bob was raised in Beverly before becoming a “Burlington Boy”. He coached youth sports in both Beverly and Burlington. He was a football coach for the Blue Devil’s Pop-Warner teams.
A lifelong member of the Mitchell Fire Company in Burlington he was also an Exempt Fireman of Burlington City Fire Department and the NJ Exempt Fireman’s Association. Bob was a longtime member of the Endeavor EMS in Burlington. He was an active employee at Mother’s Kitchen until his time of passing. He was a Shop Steward at Mother’s who belonged to Bakery & Confectionery Union. Bob was an avid fan of the Cardinals, Penn State and Duke. Bob was also a member of the Riverside Moose Lodge. Bob was predeceased by his wife Eileen B. Viereck, son Robert G. Jr., and brother Edward.
He is survived by his loving wife Kathleen (nee:Schimmel) daughter’s Victoria (Mark) Clapper, Tammy Allenshepski her companion Walter J. Lopez, sons Todd M. Viereck, Timothy R. (Wendy) Viereck, Amy (John) Kleine, Nick (Gita) Giello. His grandchildren: Stephanie Clapper, Jennifer (Mike) Recker, Robert G. Viereck,III, Taylor Allenshepski, Jonathan, Timothy, Jr., Nick, Matt, Mike, Addison Viereck, Brady, Bryce Kleine; great-grandson Benjamin Recker, sister in law Clara Viereck. He is also survived by additional sisters in law, brothers in law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
