Details: Robert G. Veth, 90, a 25 year resident of Odenton and previously of Indiana died on August 26, 2014 at his residence. He was born Cincinnati, OH on April 30, 1924 to the late Joseph and Emma Veth. Mr. Veth served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a Fire Chief for the Naval Weapons Support Center in Crain, IN for 47 years retiring in 1989. He also worked for Race Control for Indianapolis Motor Raceway for 30 years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Veth is preceded in death by his son Robert J. Veth. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Patricia Veth, his son Michael Veth and his wife Diane of Terre Haute, IN, his daughters Cathy Carr and her husband Michael of Duggar IN, Catherine Neiswender and her husband Brandon of Odenton, and Amy Monroe and her husband John of Brooklyn, MD, his sister Ginny Stall of Cincinnati, OH, his nephew Greg and his wife Karen of Cincinnati, OH, his best friend Hank “Shirley” Applegate and his wife Mary Ellen of NJ, his grandchildren Jeremy and Morgan Veth, Aaron Carr, Mackenze , Carson, and Camden Neiswender, and John and Brianna Monroe and his great grandson Adam J. Carr due in December.
