Bob was an assistant church organist since his youth at the First Christian Reformed Church of South Holland, IL. He worshipped the Lord through music and found solace in Him as he immersed himself in the depth and beauty of church music and hymns. He was a member of the organ building committees for the Ozinga Chapel organ at Trinity Christian College and for the expansion of the pipe organ at First CRC. For 25 years Bob & Sharon were known for their Christmas carol hymn sings where they welcomed many hundreds of people to their home each Christmas season. Bob deeply loved his wife and children, as they loved him. His children are forever thankful to God for the gift of such wonderful parents. Bob will be remembered and missed by many friends and family who shared with him and Sharon a rich life of work, friendship, fellowship, and great memories. He was a partner with his family in Walt’s Food Centers where he enjoyed a lifetime of work using his God-given gifts.
