Robert G. Elsbury, 80, Anderson, died September 28, 2002 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson, Indiana after extended illness. He was born October 5, 1921 in Adams Township, IN, and was a lifelong resident of this area He retired from Guide Corp.
In 1980 after 28 yrs. of service He was 50 yr. Member of Ovid Masonic Lodge #164, member of Order of Eastern Star #138, 50 yr. member of Odd Fellows Lodge, member of Bethesda White Shrine of Jerusalem, he served on the South Madison School Board from 1974-1978, as president in 1977, a member of UAW Local #663 and the GM Retiree Craft Club.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha M. Thrasher Elsbury, two daughters, Jeanie husband, Paul Stephenson and Roberta husband, Greg Curson; a son, Miles Elsbury, four grandchildren, Julia husband, Ben Watkins, Deanna Elsbury, Scott Curson and Adam Elsbury; and special cousins, Iola Pendergras and Sam Stohler He was preceded by his parents, Glen & Lola Jackson Elsbury A Memorial Source link
