Robert Frank Bennett (Bobby, Benny, Pop, Papa Benny), age 71 loving husband of Lynne (Wargo) Bennett for 50 years, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 15, 2015. He was born and raised in Fairfield, the son of Anthony and Mary (Ventrillio) Bennett. Bob was a retired firefighter/EMT in Fairfield. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he truly enjoyed his job and had many happy memories over the years. The town’s “Santa” arriving on the fire truck was certainly a highlight. Active in sports all of his life, he coached baseball from Little League through American Legion, pee wee basketball at Wakeman’s and played in many softball leagues in Fairfield.
