Robert F. Snoddy, 80, resident of Franklin, Indiana passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Robert was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 17, 1940 to parents Adrian and Mamie (Sturdevant) Snoddy.

Robert married his wife, Joyce (Johnson) Snoddy, on August 1, 1971 in Indianapolis, Indiana. They were married for 49 wonderful years.

Robert was employed at Indianapolis Public Schools for over thirty-three years as an educator in English and High School History before retiring in 2000. Robert was a skilled musician, and had great passion for music of all types, especially rock, bluegrass, classical, and flamingo. He could often be found playing his guitar, banjo, flamingo guitar or singing to the music. He cherished his role as a father and grandfather. He was very proud of the soap box derby he built for his children to enjoy. He never turned down a chance to create a memory with his family or share his love of music with them.

Robert is survived by his wife, Joyce (Johnson) Snoddy, of Franklin, Indiana; his two children, Sarah (Andrew) Holywell, of Dallas, Texas and Jennifer Snoddy, of Atlanta, Georgia; his grandchild, Ewan Holywell, and his three siblings, Ed (Nancy) Snoddy, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Harold (Jo) Snoddy, of Franklin, Indiana, and Reda Hawkins, of Indianapolis, Indiana.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, and his siblings, Art Garland, Jim Snoddy, Betty Gregory, Marshall Snoddy, and Evelyn Lawrence.
