Robert F. Pastorik, 74, of Ottawa, died Thursday night, November 29, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mr. Pastorik was born on October 11, 1933 in Ottawa to John and Anna (Corrigan) Pastorik. He retired from LOF after 33 years, then owned and operated P & P Cleaners. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married Pearl E. Alsvig on April 28, 1956, in Ottawa.
Mr. Pastorik was a member of Bethel Lutheran Brethren Church, Glassworkers Local 19, the Ottawa Bowling Association, and the Gideons. He helped with the building of Gould Stadium in Ottawa. He was a Gospel Singer, a volunteer at Community Hospital of Ottawa and an American Cancer Society volunteer.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters Robeth (Larry) Parisot, of Ottawa, Renee (Rod) Brady, of Marseilles, four sons, Robert (Deb) of DesMoines, Iowa, Richard (Melynn) of Ottawa, Ron (Cindy) of Ottawa and Randall (Kari) of Marseilles, 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, one brother John (Rita) of Ottawa 3 sisters, Pat Pastorik of St. Louis, Missouri, Marguerite (Darrell) Hayes, of Chicago, and Marianne (Ray) Morrell, of Westfield.
