Robert F. Csizma, 79, of Bethlehem Township, passed away Saturday, March 3 in St. Lukes Hospice House, Lower Saucon Township. He and his loving wife, Jolan E. (Mihaly) Csizma shared 57 years of marriage in June of 2011. Born in Bethlehem, Robert was the son of the late John and Irene (Kranyecz) Csizma. Robert was a graduate of Moravian Preparatory School, Penn State University, where he was a member of Pi Lambda Phi, and earned his Masters from Lehigh University and was a member of Phi Delta Kappa. He served as an instructor in the US Air Force during the Korean conflict. He began his career as a 6th grade teacher and later served as an elementary school principal for many years in the Southern Lehigh School District until retiring in 1991. Robert was a member of the National and Pennsylvania Association of Elementary Principals, the American Legion Post of Freemansburg and the Roosevelt Democratic Association. Robert was a member of the Hungarian Evangelical Reformed Church, Bethlehem. Survivors: his devoted wife, Jolan; daughter, Roberta A. “Robin” Rohrbach of Lenhartsville; granddaughters, Meghan Elizabeth Zotter, her husband Ryan and their son Liam and Jill R. Rohrbach and her daughter Emily Hyland. He was preceded in death by a sister Lillian Rose Mosier.
