Mr. Robert Eugene Philyaw Sr., of Evergreen, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2018, at Evergreen Medical Center. He was 65.
Mr. Philyaw is survived by his wife of 18 years, Penelope “Penny” Philyaw; 3 children, Robert Eugene Philyaw II of Andalusia, Vanissa (William) Vaughan of Evergreen, Joseph (Angie) Philyaw of Pensacola; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Winford Mack (Elaine) Philyaw of Coosada, J.W. (Marie) Philyaw of Andalusia, Willie Earl (Caryl) Philyaw of Deltona, FL., Houston (Selina) Philyaw of Pensacola; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Clark of Panama City, and Ruby Mowrey of Andalusia; and he is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Philyaw and Mary Lou (Spears) Philyaw; 2 brothers, Richard William Philyaw, and Edward Louis Philyaw; 1 sister, Betty Jean Carpenter.
Mr. Philyaw graduated from Andalusia High School in 1972 and in 2015 obtained his Associates Degree from Phoenix University in Business Administration.
