Robert Emil Jeske, 83, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 in Memorial Hospital. He was born on January 13, 1922 in South Bend, IN to Emil and Elizabeth (Degovits) Jeske. Mr. Jeske retired from the A.M. General Corporation after 22 years of service.

On June 26, 1948 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, South Bend, IN, he married Dorothy A. Kopinski, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Mary Ellen (husband Eugene) Wolbers of Northville, MI; a son, Michael D. Jeske of South Bend, IN; two grandchildren, Jason and Jim Wolbers; a sister, Louise Karkiewicz of South Bend, IN; two brothers, Charles (wife Ruth) Jeske of Mishawaka, IN and James (wife Mary Lou) Jeske of Granger, IN; and his aunt, Anna Budnik of South Bend, IN.

Mr. Jeske was an Army veteran of WWII, where he served in the 100th battalion infantry division from 1942-1946. He wasa member of St. Stanislaus Parish, the German Club, U.A.W. Local #5 and Bowlers Country Club. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
