Robert (Bob) Ellsworth Danner was born March 22, 1955 in Fairmont, MN to Arthur Aloysius and Dorothy Annabele (Korlin). The family moved to Truman, MN when he was 3 years old. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Truman, MN. He obtained his GED from Fairmont. He enlisted in the Minnesota Army National Guard November 27, 1973 and retired November 26, 1994.
On February 14, 1975, Bob was united in marriage to Connie Sue Myking at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fairmont, MN. Bob and Connie lived in Fairmont, MN and East Chain, MN before moving to Des Moines in 1998. Bob drove truck for Mallon’s Egg Company and then worked for East Chain School before moving to Iowa. His employment continued for Don Stackhouse, Hubbell Homes, Millard Construction, Kum & Go and Swift Resolution.
Bob enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking, playing cards and spending time with family.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Connie Danner; daughter, Rhonda (Randall) Hines of Fairmont, MN; son, Travis Danner (fiancé Lyn Snyder) of Burlington, CO; brothers Duane (Martha) Danner of Peoria, AZ; Fred (Betty) Danner of Estherville, IA; sister, Terri Ehlert of Welcome, MN. Grandchildren Jazmin Danner; Calista Hines (Bre Le); Scott (Felisha) Hines; Colton Hines; Miranda (Colton) Watts; and Mikenna Mari. Sister-in-law Deb (Jerry) Mosloski and many, many special nieces, nephews and friends. Special friend Ron (Pat) Lutz.
He was preceded in death by his parents (Arthur & Dorothy Danner), grandparents, parents-in-law (Norman & Doris Myking), sister (JoAnn Stewart); brother-in-law, sister-in-law and nephew (Jeff Stewart).
