DURHAM- Mr. Robert Edwin Mead, 95, of Durham, died on Sunday, February 23, 2014. He was the son of the late Edwin Mead and Martha Goettche Mead. He was a lifelong resident of Port Chester, New York and was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester, NY, lived in Durham seven years. He died one year, one day, one hour from his wife’s death. He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Marie Mead, two sisters, Edna Ferguson and Beatrice Thum.
He is survived three sons, Brian Mead of Durham, Robert Mead (Jean) of Arlington, Vt., Gary Mead (Darlene) of Durham; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
