Robert Earl “Bob” Murray, 70 of Tunnelton, formerly of Newburg, WV, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Louis A Johnson VA Medical Center in Clarksburg with family by his side. He was born August 28, 1941 in Newburg, son of the late Freeman Charles Sr. and Ruth G Swiger Murray. Bob was a masonry brick layer and carpenter most of his life. He also worked for Parks Construction and was a coalminer for fifteen years. He loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing and camping. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Ethel Mae Moury Murray whom he married on January 25, 1961; Surviving are two sons, David R Murray and Brian E Murray both of Newburg; two grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Taylor and Carly Brooke Murray; his little dog and sweetheart Sofie; two very dear and special friends, Dave Keener and Gerald Knotts; seven brothers and sisters, Charles Murray and wife Yvonne, Scotch Hill, Freeman Murray Jr. and wife Darlene, York Run, Patty Poling and husband Bill, Marquess, Randy Murray and wife Debbie, Marquess, Teddy Murray, Thornton, Brenda Larew and husband Jim, Thornton, Debbie Shipp, Grafton; one sister-in-law, Beverly Murray, Grafton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his one brother, Edward Murray.
