Robert E. McCurry, 79, of Anderson, passed away on February 14, 2021, at Community Hospital Anderson following a brief illness.
He was born on May 18, 1941, in Anderson, to the late Robert and Margaret (Skouden) McCurry. Robert graduated from Madison Heights High School in 1959 and attended Indiana University. He worked at Nicholson File until they closed and retired from Warner Press in 2006. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved planting a vegetable garden.
Robert is survived by his loving spouse, whom he married June 26, 1992, Rebecca McCurry; children; Stefanie (Mark) Eckert, Melissa (Mark) Kirchenbauer, Christopher (Amy) McCurry, Ali (Jason) Boerner; step-daughter, Julia (Jacob Laswell) Haley; grandchildren, Jasmine Eckert, Megan Eckert, Hannah Boerner, Abby Boerner, Xavier McCurry, Matthew Kirchenbauer, Blake Kirchenbauer; step-grandchildren, Ethen Tullis, Madolynn Laswell; great-grandchildren, Greyson Huston, Aliyah Thatcher, and Alijah Thatcher; brother, William “Bill” (Pat) McCurry, and several nieces and nephews.
