Robert E. “Bob” Jesse, 85, of Varna died at 1:55 AM on March 14, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home in Lacon.
Mr. Jesse was born on January 31, 1930 to Edward and Hallie (O’Dell) Jesse. He married Ruth Ann Schinzel on February 25, 1952. They had just celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. Mr. Jesse served with the Unites States Marines during the Korean War from 1951-1954. He was a retired farmer and a substitute bus driver for Midland and Mid-County School District. Mr. Jesse was a member of the Magnolia American Legion Post #0254, Knights of Columbus St. Ann’s Council of Toluca #4007. He was a member of St.
He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann; three daughters Barbara Jesse of Merrimack, NH, Sue Jesse of Varna, and Mary Jean (Jerry) Maker of Strawberry Point, IA; four sons Barry (Linda) Jesse of Allentown, NJ, Steve Jesse of Varna, Mark (Lesa) Jesse of Toluca, and Mitchell (Melinda) Jesse of Lacon; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister Shirley Mann of Wenona. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Martin Jesse.
