JACKO Robert (Bob) E. Jacko, age 91 of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family.  He was the beloved husband of Dolores Buckley Jacko, who predeceased him             on June 28, 2008.  Mr. Jacko was born on January 9, 1930 in Bridgeport, son of the late Anthony and Helene Jacko.  He was retired from the Southern New England Telephone Company (SNETCO), where he was employed for 36 years.  He was Honorably Discharged from the Armed Forces of the United States of America, having actively served with the United States Army in Austria and was a member of the VFW.  Bob loved to read, taking much pride that he had over 800 books downloaded on his Kindle, all of which he had read at least once and was on his second go around.  He loved playing cards, especially pinochle, with his friends on a weekly basis.  He also enjoyed having coffee and smoking a cigar with the guys.  Bob also loved to enjoy a meal and made a point of getting to the Plaza Diner in Shelton, sometimes twice a day.  He took great pride in his family and shared many memories of his life with his children and grandchildren.  Survivors include four children, Robert Jacko, Jr. of North Haven, Gregory Jacko, Karen Ross of New Fairfield, and Audrey Falaguerra of Milford; 11 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sister Jean Jagyi, niece Valerie Jagyi and several brothers/sisters-in-law.
