Robert E. Imlay, 74, Anderson, died March 6, 2009 at Community Hospital – North, Indianapolis. He was born August 14, 1934 in Columbus, Indiana, and resided in Anderson most of his life. Bob served his country in the US Marine Corp.
He retired from Container Corporation, later known as Jefferson Smurfit, after 44 years of service. He is survived by his son, Danny Imlay of Fortville; daughter, Terri & husband Kevin Lindamood of Lebanon, Tennessee; step-daughter, Katrina Kimmerling of Anderson; siblings, Martin & wife Annie Imlay of Columbus,
Gary Imlay of Columbus and Betty & husband Austin, Henry of Columbus; companion, Delores Pride of Anderson; best friend, Ronny Brenner; seven grandchildren, Amanda Lindamood, Kilee Imlay, Jeremy Lindamood, Dustin Imlay, Austin Imlay, Troy Kimmerling and Rob Kimmerling; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Evelyn Imlay; parents, Russell & Betty Imlay and sister, Joann Imlay.
