Robert Eugene Halsey Sr. 53
Bob died on Tuesday, December 2, 2021 at his residence. He was born on September 4, 1968 in Kenton to Donald and Barbara Halsey who survive in Kenton. On March 18, 1989 Robert married his wife of 32 years, Amy (Dennis) Halsey and she survives in Kenton.
Also surviving are his children; Megan Wingate, Elizabeth Halsey, Robert Halsey Jr., a granddaughter; Averyann, a sister; Karen Jones Halsey of Kenton, a brother; Charles Halsey of Kenton,and his in-laws; Tom and Roberta Dennis of Kenton.
Bob was a 1986 graduate of Kenton High School. He then received his Associates Degree in Electronic Engineering. Bob worked for an automotive testing lab, before becoming a preacher at the Central Church of Christ in Kenton for 10 years.
Bob was active in umpiring/refereeing. He was a little league umpire for over 20 years, a high school baseball and softball umpire for 15 years and a high school basketball referee for 3 years.
Bob’s true passion was making other people happy, especially children. He was known as Tater the Clown to a lot of people, who got to enjoy his balloon art and make them laugh with his antics. He will be greatly missed by his family and community.
