Robert E. Crone, 81, died Saturday, July 17, 2021, at WellSpan York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary P. (Hull) Crone, his wife of 55 years.
Bob was born March 20, 1940, in York, the son of the late Robert M. and Frances (Nace) Crone.
Bob was a member of Zwingli U.C.C. in East Berlin, where he sang in the choir for more than 50 years, and served on consistory and taught Sunday School. He served in the U.S. Air Force, retired from Sears in 2002 after 39 years, enjoyed camping, and he was a member of the American Legion in Shiloh.
In addition to his wife Mary, Bob is survived by a daughter, Stephanie K. Limbert and her husband Robert A., of York, two sons, Scott E. Crone and his wife Rebecca L., of Dillsburg, and Steven E. Crone of York, three grandchildren, Nathan R. Limbert, Michael A. Limbert, and Matthias E. Crone, and a brother, Donald Crone and his wife Sandy of Abbottstown.
