Robert Eugene Adams, 79, of Galesburg, died at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at home.
Bob was born September 27, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, IA the son of John Raymond and Edna Mae Baker Adams. He was also the step son of David Antel.
Bob married Cheryl Lynn Stinson on June 24, 1978 in Galesburg. They were sealed all time and eternity in the Chicago Temple on December 12, 1986. She survives of Galesburg. He is also survived by two sons, Robert, Jr. and Loren; three daughters, Martha, Edna, and Kay; two step daughters, Carla Dorethy and Cheryl Adams; 22 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Bob also leaves behind, his beloved dog, Bandit. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Shipp.
Bob served in the US Army from April 13, 1954 to April 12, 1957. He worked at Kopper’s for 32 years. Bob was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ, Latter Day Saints. In his free time Bob enjoyed fishing, bowling, and watching old time westerns.
