Robert Duane Stuut died Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born at home in Comstock, MI October 21, 1934, a son of John and Freida (VanderWerff) Stuut and had been a lifelong area resident.
He entered the US Air Force in 1953, served in Japan for two years and was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class in 1957. Robert served as a Letter Carrier for the USPS for 35 years before retiring.
Robert loved to talk. He enjoyed all sports and loved “anything University of Michigan related”. Robert enjoyed visiting with his family and reminiscing about past events in their lives.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and all 10 of his siblings. In May of 1987 Robert married the former Mary Bogema who survives. Also surviving are their children, Robert (Suzanne) Stuut, Tracy (Philip) Molloy, Pete (Tracy) Bogema, Penny (Kevin) Stuut, Paul Freed, and Parry (Vicky) Freed; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
