Robert Douglas Wilson 73, of St. Charles, died Wednesday at home, surrounded by his loving family. Doug was born January 5, 1939 in Richmond, Kentucky, the son of Lewis and Ruth (Mays) Wilson.

Doug retired after 39 years with Arthur Andersen in St. Charles as an Event & Media Manager. Following retirement, he and his wife of 51 years, Beverley, built a home in Florida where they escaped the winters of Illinois, returning for the summer & fall seasons.

Doug enjoyed sharing fun memories of golfing & fishing with longtime buddies. He was an avid fan of the White Sox & Bears. In 2010, he won the Kings Point West LBC Men’s Novice Lawn Bowling Championship.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverley-Anne; his children, Cassandra (Doug) Hinkle of Batavia, Heather (Richard) Roxworthy of St. Charles and Shanon (Kent) Wicks of Bradenton, Florida; his grandchildren, Leslie and Evan Hinkle, Elizabeth and Kelsey Roxworthy, Adam and Jacob Wicks; his siblings, Eldon (Bonnie) Wilson of Tavares, Florida, Betty Jo (Jim) Garvin of Lake Zurich, and Anne (Melvin) Worthington of Ayden, North Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
