Robert D. Martin passed away peacefully on August 11, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born April 24, 1952 in Manhattan, Kansas to Lyman and Gertie Martin.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. It was during that time he met the love of his life Yupin, in Thailand. They were married for 47 wonderful years and had four children. After leaving the USAF he further served his country as a civil servant on Hill Air Force Base completing 43 years of dedicated service prior to his retirement.
He loved sports and enjoyed bowling, playing golf and football. He was a Die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He is survived by his beautiful wife Yupin. 4 children: Dawn (Zach), Peter, Sabrina (Omar) and Stephanie. 9 grandchildren: Alyssa, Destiny, Jacqueline, Nicola, Felicia, Aaliyah, Destino, Seriyah and Nautykah. 2 great grandchildren: Aliviah and Maebel and his best Buddy Matthew. 2 brothers: K. Lee and Buster and 1 sister: Annie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters: Bonedita, Edith and Theresa and 2 brothers: Lyman and Larry.
