Robert D. Pirie, Jr.
Norwich, CT – Robert David Pirie, Jr. 53, of Ford Ave. died Monday with his family by his side at the William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich.
He was born in Norwich on June 6, 1960 son of Robert D. and Palma (DiFrancesca) Pirie, Sr. of Norwich. On May 6, 1983 he was united in marriage to Pauline Dimmock in Norwich. Mrs. Pirie survives her beloved husband of 30 years. Bob worked as an outside machinist for over 30 years at the Electric Boat Corporation. Mr. Pirie was a hardworking man, a loving father, grandfather, son and brother. He was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors.
In addition to his wife and parents, Bob is survived by his children Julie Pirie, Jonathan Pirie and Katelyn Pirie all of Norwich, his three grandchildren, Kayla Ragston, Marley Pirie and Cierra Pirie, his brother David Pirie of South Glastonbury and his sister Francesca Kortfelt of Oakdale.
