Robert Daniel Beane, III, 80 of Suwanee, GA formerly of Newnan passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at his home. He was born May 23, 1936 in McAllen, TX to the late Robert D. Beane, Jr. & Julia Woodrow Beane. After graduating from Duke University, he enlisted in the Marines where he served for two years. After his military service, he went to work for the same company as his father, Stauffer Chemicals, where he retired after 30 years.
Before moving to Suwanee in 2016, Mr. Beane and his wife, Jo Lynda, were active members of Cornerstone United Methodist Church and were members of the Seekers Sunday School Class. He was an avid golfer and played in the Senior Men’s Group at White Oak Golf Club. Survivors include wife of 51 years, Jo Lynda Beane; sons, Daniel (Becka), Russell (Lyda); brothers, Porter (Carol), Dennis (Mary); grandsons, Aaron, Britton, Casey, Davis, Brady, Drew, & Ryan Beane; aunt, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
