Robert “Bob” Dale Wolf, 72, passed away Monday October 14, 2013 in Indianapolis. He was a resident of Franklin. Bob was born June 23, 1941 in Jefferson County, the son of the late Mary Ernestine (Hall) and Fa Dellis D. Wolf. He was a 1959 graduate of Madison Central High School. Bob married Mary Ellen Elkins Parker on Sept. 23, 1974 in Franklin.
He served in the U.S. Army, 2nd Airborne, 503 Division, stationed in Okinawa, China, Korea and Japan. Bob was an excellent marksman, competing in rifle competitions in Hawaii, as well as several other places in the U.S.A. Bob competed in muzzle loading rifle competitions and enjoyed building his own muzzle loading rifles. He also enjoyed archery competitions and placed third in a national completion. He loved fishing, hunting and cooking, where he excelled in apple pies. He loved spending time with his friends and most of all, family. Bob retired from Southeastern Supply as a cabinet maker in 2003 after 15 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby after retirement.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mary Ellen Wolf of Franklin, three daughters, Dena (Bob) Hernandez and Pamela Parker (Jeff) Cody both of Indianapolis and Robin (Brian Ezzo) Wolf of Alaska and three grandchildren, Danielle, Bradley and Maria.
