Robert Dale Ferrell, 83, formerly of Andrews, IN died at 1:00 PM on October 26, 2009 at his residence. Robert Ferrell was born in Roanoke, IN on August 28, 1926 to Leonard and Mary Reimer Ferrell. Mr. Ferrell married Sara (Sally) Stallings on August 2, 1947. She preceded him in death December 8, 2002. Mr. Ferrell was an Insurance adjuster for Chicago Motor Club, Fort Wayne, IN for 32 years.
He retired in 1988. Mr. Ferrell was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, American Legion Post 160, Roanoke, IN., the VFW #2689, Huntington, IN and DAV, Indianapolis, IN. He served as a Marine in WW II. He was a member of the Clear Creek Golf Course.
Survivors include: three sons: Donald and his wife Charlene Ferrell, Ossian, IN., Mark Ferrell, Indianapolis, IN and Brian Ferrell, Huntington, IN and three daughters: Mrs. Daylee and her husband Joseph Adamo, Plano, TX; Mrs. Nancy and her husband Robert Crunk, Roanoke, IN. and Mrs. Mary and her husband Rodney Dickason, Uniondale, IN. one brother: Jack and his wife Janice Ferrell, North Manchester, IN, nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was proceeded in death by: two brothers: Earl Ferrell and Donald P. Ferrell, one sister: Darlene Penn and one great-granddaughter.
