Robert D. Keiper, Sr., 78, of Downingtown and formerly of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019 while in the care of Chester County Hospital. He was the loving husband of Rita (Trajber) Keiper with whom he would have shared 60 years of loving marriage on May 16, 2019.
Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Davies) Keiper. Bob was a graduate of Whitehall High School, class of 1958. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy as a Radioman. Bob worked for Mack Trucks for 31 years and later for Roma Corporate Center in Allentown. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Survivors: In addition to his loving wife Rita, he will be remembered by his sons Robert D. Keiper, Jr. and his wife Pamela of Clifton Park, NY, Stephen T. Keiper and his wife Stacey of Bethlehem, and Joseph C. Keiper and his wife Kimberly of Chester Springs; grandchildren Robert D. Keiper, III and his wife Kelly, Nichole Harrell and her husband Aaron, Kiana Keiper, Justin Keiper, Cameron Keiper and Hannah Keiper; great grandchildren Kiera, Madelyn, Hadassah, Ella and Jackson. Bob was preceded in death by his sister Judith Ebersole.
