Robert L. Currell, age 78, of Spirit Lake, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2009, at Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake. He was born on December 9, 1930, in Estherville, Iowa, to Wayne and Marguerite (McKerral) Currell. Bob was united in marriage to Gloria Scott on October 14, 1956, in Estherville.Bob graduated from Estherville High School in 1948, and went on to further his education, graduating from the University of Iowa in 1952. He attended Drake Law School after serving his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.In 1955, Bob started working at First Bank and Trust in Spirit Lake, before retiring in November of 2007. He served on various committees.
