On a peaceful evening, surrounded by his children, Robert Lopez Colin went to his heavenly home with our Lord Jesus and reunited with his Princess Sera. A native of Orange, California and the eldest son of Felipe and Augustina Colin, he and his 11 siblings worked in the family Azteca Tortilleria on Cypress Street. Robert graduated from Orange High School where he excelled in basketball and baseball then attended Fullerton • College. Like any young man he enjoyed community dances and it was at the Harmony Ballroom dance he met his Princess, Sera Castro. Their courtship was interrupted in 1951 by the Korean War where he served in the Army until 1953. Upon his return Robert married Sera Castro. He provided for his family as a cook at Fairview State Hospital in Costa Mesa, retiring after 35 years.
