Robert Charles Parnell, Sr., 91 of North East, MD, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
Born in Carlowville, AL, on June 2, 1929, he was the last of seven children of the late Hansome and Ethel (Wade) Parnell. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years: Edna Rae Parnell; stepson: Eugene Ikner, and granddaughter: Tina Louise Ikner.
Robert served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He retired from General Motors after 24 years of service as an assembler.
He is survived by his children: son, Robert Charles Parnell, Jr. (Joyce) of North East, MD and daughter, Lori Ann Vipperman (Jeffrey) of Elkton, MD; stepchildren: Larry Ikner (Wilma Jean) of Elkton, MD and Kitty Rae Comer (John) of Rising Sun, MD. Robert also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
