Robert Charles “Doc” Nivens, 80, of Anderson, passed away on July 3, 2013 at his residence. He was born on September 25, 1932 in Livingston, Tennessee and resided most of his life in Anderson.
He retired as a Carpenter. He was an avid NASCAR fan, sports fan, enjoyed gardening, and loved to spend time with his kids, grand kids, and great-grand kids.
Doc is survived by his loving wife Glendola Steward Nivens who would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this December, daughter, Brenda Mike Cogill of Elwood, son, Randy Lori Nivens, daughter, Teresa Larry Looper, daughter, Lisa Mark Smith all of Anderson, sister, Mary Lou Denson, sister, Reba Ralph Dishman, sister, Linda Jolly, brother, Carl Nivens, brother, Bill Brenda Nivens, sister-in-law, Mary Ann Nivens; grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan Anna Hepfer, Jason Jill, Dustin Nivens, Noah Nivens, Michelle, Mackenzie, Kelsey Looper, Jacob, Jeffrey, Jada Biddle, Corbin Smith, Michael Wing, and Bradley Cogill; great-grandchildren, Justin, Mason Hepfer, Mackenzie Shreve, Max, Wyatt Nivens, Michaela Cogill, one on the way, several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
