Robert Bertrand Cartwright was the third son born to Ernest and Willadean (Nulf) Cartwright March 11, 1928. Bob attended school in Geraldine. During his senior year he quit school and joined the Army promising Grandma Sarah he would return to finish school. Bob graduated high school in 1949.
Bob married Henrietta Ludtke March 18, 1950. To this union a daughter, Marlene and two sons, Rodney and Benny were born.
Bob was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks, and Moose Lodge, and a member of the Geraldine Methodist Church.
Henrietta passed away in 1984. Bob became reacquainted with longtime family friend Rhoene Manley. They had many happy years of travel and family events together.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta; parents, Ernest Cartwright and Willadean Talvi; brother, Raymond; sister, Ramona (Joyce) Harvey; and step brother, Bob Lasher.
Bob is survived by daughter, Marlene (Richard) Protsman; sons, Rodney and Benny, all of Geraldine; grandchildren, Toni (Jason) Hufford; Kari (Steve) Thurston, Joe Cartwright and Bryan (Erin) Cartwright; great grandchildren, Stephen, Mikayla and Mackenzie Thurston, Dylan and Cole Hufford, Aliyah, Bryce, and Daerious Cartwright; brother, Wayne (Dorla) Cartwright; sister, Nadean (Winton) Rollins; half brother, Vic Talvi; step sisters, Lucille Wethern, Shirley Pitcher, and Montana Damon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
